A chevron pattern with a clear production reference

Chevron refers to the angled, repeating pattern visible on the board. It describes a design, while face grain, edge grain and end grain describe the orientation of the wood fibres. These should be specified separately when developing a custom wooden cutting board.

Agree the direction of the V-shaped layout, the width of the wood sections, the border treatment and the acceptable colour range. Acacia naturally varies from lighter honey tones to deeper brown. A representative approved sample is more useful than expecting identical grain on every piece.

Specify the board and its routed details together

Our chevron acacia cutting board has a juice groove and is offered in dimensions developed to your specification. Send length, width and finished thickness, then show the groove width, depth and distance from the edge. Include corner radii and the edge profile in the drawing.

A chevron acacia cutting board with a juice groove can be developed for a kitchenware range, a serving collection or a branded gift. State the intended use so the construction, finishing and care information can be reviewed together. Side grips or other features require a thickness and machining review.

Private-label branding without losing the wood character

Supply your vector logo, engraving dimensions and desired position. The contrast of a laser-engraved logo depends partly on the wood beneath it, so approve the appearance on a physical sample rather than relying only on artwork over a photograph.

Paper sleeves, kraft boxes, printed gift boxes, care inserts and barcode labels can be reviewed as part of the same project. Compare the finished retail unit as well as the board: extra packaging changes the unit weight, carton arrangement and total quoted cost. See our packaging and logo engraving guide.

Check pattern, joints, flatness and finishing

The sample and technical drawing should establish the pattern, finished dimensions, accepted joint appearance, sanding quality and overall flatness. Review the perimeter groove for continuity and clean edges, and check that branding remains clear of routed features.

Wood is a natural material. Agree measurable acceptance criteria and a visual range before bulk production, then retain the reference for repeat orders. Our cutting board quality-control checklist explains the checkpoints buyers can put into their purchasing brief.

Request a comparable wholesale quotation

For this custom chevron design, MOQ is confirmed by quotation rather than automatically applying the standard-board minimum. Send the quantity per size, material and construction requirements, dimensions, logo, packaging and delivery destination. Ask us to separate product, sample and packaging costs where useful.

Typical bulk planning is 30–45 days after specification, sample and artwork approval; the actual schedule depends on the approved construction and order mix. To follow the development decisions for this design, read the chevron OEM development walkthrough.

BUYER QUESTIONS

Before you request a quotation.

Is chevron the same as end grain?

No. Chevron describes a pattern. End grain describes the direction of the wood fibres at the working surface. Specify the pattern and grain orientation separately, and approve the proposed construction on the sample.

Can we change the size and logo position?

Yes, subject to technical review. Send a dimensioned drawing and logo artwork so the pattern, groove, thickness and engraving can be reviewed as a complete product.

What is the MOQ for this chevron board?

The current catalogue lists MOQ on request for this custom design. Your written quotation confirms the minimum for the selected size, construction and packaging.
