Teak butcher blocks with an end-grain working surface
Teak end-grain cutting boards are assembled from blocks with the ends of the wood fibres facing the working surface. This differs from a single-piece teak board or a board showing long grain across the top. Specify teak and end-grain construction together in your purchasing brief so the proposed sample matches the product you intend to sell.
Natural colour, block size, grain direction and joint layout shape the finished appearance. Approve a representative teak sample and an acceptable visual range before bulk production. A photograph of one board does not establish an identical colour or pattern for every piece.
Available sizes and thicknesses
Our end-grain cutting board range includes teak and acacia options. The rectangular dimensions below are length × width × finished thickness. Confirm teak availability, the selected size and the final construction in your quotation.
| Length | Width | Thickness |
|---|---|---|
| 30 cm | 20 cm | 2 cm |
| 30 cm | 20 cm | 2.5 cm |
| 35 cm | 25 cm | 2.5 cm |
| 35 cm | 25 cm | 3.8 cm |
| 40 cm | 28 cm | 2.5 cm |
| 40 cm | 28 cm | 3.8 cm |
The catalogue minimum for these end-grain boards is 1,000 pieces per size. The general 500-piece standard-board program and selected 100-piece trials do not replace this item-specific minimum. Custom dimensions, other thicknesses and round profiles require a separate sample and feasibility review.
Plan grooves, grips and branding around the board
Specify a juice groove by its width, depth and distance from the edge. Add corner radii, edge profiles and side-grip details to the drawing. These features affect machining, usable thickness, handling and the finished weight of your teak butcher-block board.
For private-label teak cutting boards, provide vector logo artwork, engraving dimensions and the required position. Review engraving on the proposed teak sample, then agree the sleeve or box, care insert, retail labels and export-carton arrangement. Our packaging and logo engraving guide covers those decisions.
Confirm teak source and the finished-product specification
Ask for the botanical species, source information and supporting material records available for the proposed teak batch. State the intended use and destination when discussing the finish and any finished-product testing or documentation you require. Claims about one material or finish should not be assumed to apply to every construction and order.
Agree the moisture target and measurement method, dimensional tolerances, flatness, joint appearance, sanding quality and engraving position. Keep the approved drawing and physical sample as the reference for production and repeat orders. Use the quality-control checklist to prepare measurable acceptance criteria.
Request a comparable wholesale teak end-grain quotation
Specify teak end-grain cutting boards, finished dimensions and quantity per size. Include the block-pattern reference, routed details, engraving artwork, finish, packaging and delivery destination. Compare quotations for the same product and packing specification.
Bulk production is typically planned for 30–45 days after product, sample and artwork approval. The confirmed schedule depends on teak availability, order mix and packaging. For a long-grain board with a handle, compare our teak paddle cutting boards. The construction comparison guide explains the differences.
Before you request a quotation.
Is a teak end-grain board a single piece of wood?
No. The end-grain working surface is assembled from blocks. A single-piece or edge-glued long-grain teak board is a different construction.
What is the MOQ for teak end-grain boards?
The current catalogue lists 1,000 pieces per size. Confirm the proposed teak material, construction, dimensions and packing in the final quotation.
Can we add a logo and a juice groove?
Both can be reviewed. Provide the groove dimensions and logo artwork, then approve their appearance and positions on the sample.
What photography should we use for our listing?
Use photography of your approved teak sample for the final product listing. The production and mixed-board photographs here show factory processes and construction references; the approved material and sample define your SKU.
