WHOLESALE QUOTATION GUIDE

A practical factory brief starts with the right details.

A buyer's product photograph and target quantity are a useful starting point, but do not establish every detail that affects board yield, machining, finishing or packing. A precise RFQ helps the manufacturer identify missing information before sample approval and avoids comparing unlike products.

1. Drawing, dimensions and SKU definitions

Provide a technical drawing or clearly labeled reference image. State overall length, width and finished thickness in millimeters, plus the shape, corner radii, edge profile and tolerances where needed. For paddle designs, specify handle length and hanging-hole dimensions. For routed juice grooves or grips, show depth, width and exact location.

If the order contains multiple sizes or designs, specify the quantity per SKU instead of only giving a combined piece count. Describe whether a set needs a common retail box or separate packaging.

2. Wood species, grain format and visual approval

Indicate acacia or teak and any required botanical-species or origin information. Confirm whether face-grain, edge-grain or end-grain construction is preferred, and provide an approved reference for natural color variation. For end-grain boards, define the block pattern and finished-board thickness.

3. Intended use and surface treatment

Specify food preparation, chopping, serving or decorative use; this affects the requested surface finish and care information. Identify the preferred oil or coating and any importing-market testing requirements. Testing and certificates should match the proposed actual material, finish and product.

4. OEM engraving and product presentation

Supply vector logo artwork when possible. Show laser-engraving dimensions and position. Specify protective wrapping, paper sleeve, kraft retail box, printed graphics, barcode, individual insert and export-carton labelling. Custom packaging may carry separate production minimums and lead-time requirements.

5. Commercial quantity and shipping requirements

State the quantity of each SKU, any pilot-order request, and anticipated repeat-order schedule. Provide the destination port or delivery location, preferred quotation term and target shipment date. Confirm when samples and artwork can be approved; production lead times depend on approval timing and product mix.

6. Quality control and acceptance

Define critical measurements, board flatness, acceptable natural grain variation, sanding level, routed details, logo alignment, protective packing and inspection approach. Refer to an approved sample to set a shared standard for repeat manufacture.

7. Copy-ready RFQ field list

Expect the factory to review feasibility, clarify unclear details and confirm commercial terms before quoting. To prepare your project, see the manufacturing and QC overview, compare acacia versus teak, or send the RFQ to Acacia Teak Boards.
